Carbon Steel Casting Cable Guard for Oilfield ESP
This carbon steel casting cable guard is a professional downhole accessory specially manufactured for oilfield ESP (Electric Submersible Pump) systems, also known as cross coupling cable protector or downhole cable clamp. Adopting precision investment casting (silica sol casting) technology, the whole component is integrally formed from high-quality carbon steel, with robust split clamping frame structure to wrap and fix ESP power cables tightly during underground operation. It effectively isolates cables from casing walls, tubing and metal coupling joints, eliminating abrasion, squeezing and collision damage caused by pipeline vibration, fluid scouring and downhole assembly friction, greatly extending the service life of submersible pump cables.
Core Structural & Design Advantages
- Split hinged double hoop design Upper and lower semi-circular clamping rings connect via integrated hinge, paired with bolt locking structure for quick disassembly and installation. Operators can fasten the guard onto tubing without disassembling the whole cable assembly, saving field construction time. The inner wall is processed with anti-scuff rib structure, which increases friction to prevent sliding displacement during pump running.
- High-strength integrated carbon steel casting One-piece casting molding without splicing welds, uniform internal metal texture, excellent tensile strength and impact resistance. It can withstand long-term extrusion under deep well high-pressure environments, no deformation or fracture under frequent underground lifting and lowering operations.
- Downhole corrosion & wear resistance Raw carbon steel can be customized with surface anti-rust treatment including black oxide coating, spray painting or galvanization, resisting erosion from formation water, crude oil and trace corrosive media in oil wells. Thickened wall design strengthens anti-wear performance against long-term fluid flushing.
- Customizable dimensional matching We support OEM customized inner diameter, frame height, bolt specification and hoop opening range to match various sizes of ESP tubing, cable bundles and cross couplings. It is compatible with most mainstream electric submersible pump models used in onshore and offshore oil extraction operations.
